Andrea Smith- Dance Instructor

Andrea started to dance at the young age of three, always insistent that she would one day pursue a career in dance.  She has since then reached Advanced level in both ISTD Ballet and Modern Dance, currently working towards her FDI teaching qualification with the ISTD.  As well as teaching privately she has also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sports and Coaching, specialising in contemporary dance and gymnastics.  She then went on to study for her Post Graduate Certificate of Education and has been teaching Physical Education and Dance in secondary education for two years.  She teaches the AQA GCSE Dance course, her students achieving results of an exceptional standard, some even choosing to continue dance into further education.

During her career Andrea has performed in many venues, perhaps the most well-known being the Millennium Dome and Royal Albert Hall.  Some of her main principle roles to date include Odile in Swan lake, Sugar Plum Fairy in Nutcracker, Reuben in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Cinderella in Cinderella.  Andrea specialises in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballroom and Latin dance.
